A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
I LIVE BY THE PHILOSOPHY OF: LIFE IS SHORT, DO THE THINGS!
Some people liken me to Morticia Adams because I’m fixated on how short life is! Every day I wake up and think about how we genuinely don’t have any time to waste. That is why I’m so passionate about optimising our experience while we’re here by living a high-performance life; a life we’re fully engaged with and energised by, and a life where we can accept and cope with all colours of the “life rainbow” we encounter.
MY FIRST LOVE WAS UNDERSTANDING THE DARKER SIDE OF THE HUMAN CONDITION
When I was 16 my life dream was to become a criminal profiler for the FBI. After realising that U.S residency might throw a spanner in the works, I went to Victoria University of Wellington and spent several years hanging out in NZ prisons to complete a PhD in Forensic Psychology instead!
IF I WASN'T WORKING WITH YOU IN REMIX I'D LOVE TO BE A MIXED MARTIAL ARTS FIGHTER IN THE UFC
The athleticism, courage, mental toughness, and skill it takes to climb inside the octagon is something I have the ultimate respect for. Just like an MMA athlete must train for years in pursuit of excellence in the octagon, I also love the pursuit of excellence in the gym which I see as a training ground for the pursuit of excellence in life beyond the gym.
THE HUMAN BRAIN IS MY FAVOURITE THING TO THINK ABOUT
When I was 13 I had to write a speech on any topic I liked for English class. Most of my classmates talked about their favourite movie, or the sport they played. I talked about the complexities of the human brain. Let’s just say the fascination and passion started early! There’s nothing I love more then snuggling up on a Sunday afternoon with the latest TED talk on neuroscience and learning more about how we can collaborate with our brain to live a high-performance life.
THE LIGHTER SIDE OF THE
HUMAN CONDITION FASCINATES
ME TOO
While the darker side of the human condition will always be my first love, the light side of the human condition fascinates me just as much. That’s why I love Unicorns. To me, they are a symbol of embracing and celebrating our own magic … showing off the essence of who we are, proudly living our life according to our most deeply held values, and navigating whatever life brings our way with a sparkle in our eye, and maybe even a rainbow coloured hair do too!
THE NEXT THING TO TICK OFF MY BUCKET LIST IS TO GET MY MOTORBIKE LICENCE SO I CAN OWN A DUCATI
A red one ... I reckon they go the fastest.
